I love the British high street and I will champion it just like Mr Gok Wan, but I have to pay homage to the designers who inspire and influence the high street so here are my favs...
1. Chanel.
I love love love the elegance and the sophistication of the designs. The fact that the brand was established 90 years ago and the designs have just got better and better, well it had to be my number one!
2. Mark FastMarks original designs and what he has done to knitwear in the last two years has been incredible and he is now designing for topshop to! But what impresses me the most is how he was not afraid to play with controversy or his reputation, by putting plus size models on the catwalk at the last two London Fashion weeks. I am all for anyone supporting the plus size lady its about time!
3. Gucci
If I had to only use one word to describe Gucci it would be SEXY. It is full on GLAM, I love how the dresses are completely sexy but in the same breath ozzes sophistication.
4. Vivienne Westwood
The God Mother of the Punk movement. I have nothing but admiration for any woman who can rrevolutionise the fashion industry with safety pins, tape and a bit of bondage!
5. Alexander McQueen
Every garment is unique, ingenious and on a whole other level. Also his fashion shows was like a huge production! So entertaining and so breath taking!
Plus I love the shoes Lady GaGa rocked this year!
